The St. Paul Choir will perform a unique cantata called “Changed My Name.” It is built on new gospel music and on well-known spirituals. There are narrations using the words and characters of Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth, two 19th century heroes of early civil rights. This is a deeply moving and powerful work.

Kansas City Bronze will give a concert of festive works for handbells and thrilling arrangements of popular hymns. Between six octaves of handbells and five octaves of chimes, Kansas City Bronze rings 132 instruments.

St. Paul’s A Cappella will continue its tradition of their annual Holy Week Concert featuring music of the Renaissance. Featured works include settings of “Miserere Mei” by Alessandro Scarlatti and Gregorio Allegri, “In monte Olivetti” by Gesualdo, “Lamentations of Jeremiah” by Thomas Tallis, and other works by Tomas Luis da Victoria.
